Applications for the 2022 Hands-On-History at Historic Fort Steuben are now being accepted.

This annual Summer Youth Educational Program for 4th to 6th graders allows the students to participate in activities that present life in the early Ohio Valley.

We have several students who love to come every year!”

Among the topics covered are the history and crafts of Native Americans, the surveying and settlement of the Northwest Territory, the military experiences at the Fort, the Lewis and Clark expedition and the work of archaeologists. They will measure, dig, make crafts and learn about creatures in the Ohio River as well as march with Baron von Steuben.

The program runs from 10am to 2:30pm each day with two sessions: June 13-17 and July 11-15. The cost of each one-week session is $55 and applications are available at the Visitor Center or HERE.
