You are invited to meet the Brigade of the American Revolution on Saturday, September 21, as they demonstrate, instruct, and recreate 18th century life on the Ohio Frontier from 10am to 4pm.
Members of the Brigade will be on site for the day as part of our regular tour. You can meet the surgeon whose explanations and displays of 18th century medicine will give you greater appreciation for 20th century medicine.
Visitors can try on some items of period clothing. Presentations of spinning flax, 18th century food ways, 18th century tools, weapons and cartridge rolling are on the schedule. Learn about Washington's manners and about how the British soldiers were outfitted. Some reenactors will represent the navy and marines.
Finally, the drummers will guide the all the men with their muskets to an artillery demonstration, concluding the event with a BANG!
The buildings in the Fort will be open for tours, the Constitution exhibit will still be on display in the Visitor Center, and the Museum Shop will be open with a great selection of books, maps, period toys, puzzles, gifts, and souvenirs.
Admission is $12, for seniors $10, for youth 6-12 $7, and free for those under 6.
