Historic Fort Steuben is located on South 3rd Street in Downtown Steubenville. There is parking in our lot directly in front of the Visitor Center. If that lot is full, directly across the street to the left of the police station is a public pay lot.
Yes! We have a pull off, directly in front of our parking lot that can accommodate oversized vehicles. We suggest calling ahead to make arrangements for parking your vehicle during your visit.
Fort Steuben Park is not a Steubenville city park, rather it is part of our non-profit and thus private property.
Yes! We encourage you to stop down for a visit and bring your picnic basket too!
There are public restroom inside the Visitor Center.
Yes! The visitor Center is accessible to folks of all abilities. Touring the fort itself is a bit challenging as the terrain is gravel, but the buildings do have access ramps that allow visitors to safely visit. Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
It takes about an hour and a half to tour the whole facility, but depending on your interest you could have a shorter or longer visit!
Generally the tours are self-guided but occasionally we have a tour guide here for the day to greet visitors. If you want a guided tour, call ahead and we will do our best to have one available.
We are so excited that you would consider Fort Steuben for your special event, however we do not have the ability to have a wedding or party at the Fort. Thanks for your interest!
